Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: September 15, 2026
Website: www.chobulaw.com

The English version of this document is the authoritative version and governs in the event of any discrepancy between translations.

Welcome to the website of the Law Office of Nina P. Chobu (the “Firm,” “we,” “our”). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website.

Legal Disclaimer

The content on this website is general information on immigration topics for educational and general informational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is formed by viewing the website or submitting an inquiry form.

If you need legal advice regarding your specific situation, please contact us directly to schedule a consultation.

Attorney-Client Relationship

An attorney-client relationship is only created upon the execution of a written engagement agreement signed by both you and the Firm and any required fees have been paid. Please do not send any confidential, privileged, or time-sensitive information to us until a formal attorney-client relationship has been established.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of the Law Office of Nina P. Chobu or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not remove any copyright or other proprietary notices. Any other use, including reproduction, modification, distribution, or republication of the site’s content, is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.

User Conduct

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You are prohibited from:

  • Using the website in any way that violates applicable local, state, or federal laws.
  • Engaging in any conduct that restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying the website.
  • Attempting to interfere with the proper working of the website or using any automated means (such as bots or scrapers) to access, collect, or copy any content on this site.
  • Misrepresenting your identity or legal matter
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the site
  • Submitting any content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or otherwise unlawful.

Client Portal

Access to our secure client portal is offered by invitation to clients and prospective clients of the firm. Access is personal to you and may not be shared. You agree to keep your sign-in credentials and your two-step verification device secure, and to tell the firm promptly if you believe someone else has obtained access to your account.

You agree to use the portal only to communicate with the firm about your own matter, and to upload only documents that relate to it. Do not upload malicious files, and do not attempt to reach material that is not yours.

The portal is a convenience, not an emergency channel. Do not rely on it for anything time-sensitive: for a filing deadline, a hearing, or any other urgent matter, contact the firm by telephone. We do not guarantee that the portal will be available without interruption, and we may suspend or withdraw access at any time.

Using the portal, or submitting the intake form through it, does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship is formed only through a signed written agreement.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience only. The Firm does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. Your use of such links is at your own risk.
